I am an Otolaryngologist - fancy name for Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeon (ENT) - and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Originally from Ottawa, I completed my undergraduate medical degree in Ottawa. My residency in ENT was completed at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. After graduating, I spent three months working in Sydney, Nova Scotia before moving to the Halifax area where I opened my practice in Dartmouth in 2006. My main interests lie in snoring, and sleep apnea.
I am happily married with two children, a girl and a boy, who help to keep life both busy and exciting - I often feel as though my home life is like a sitcom. I love Nova Scotia and am extremely happy with my move here. Most free time in the summer is spent searching for sea creatures on the many incredible beaches, or trying to brave the often fridgid waters of the ocean. Coming from Ontario, I don't think I will ever get used to the incredible views.
I have several friends and colleagues who came to me desperate for help with snoring. I found once I had a clear understanding and individualized approach, most snoring is easily treatable and curable. I do not like pain, and have made every effort possible to avoid this for my patients. I am always happy to answer questions and have dedicated myself to staying on the cutting edge of sleep medicine and sleep surgery. Information on this website is updated regularly summarizing literature pertaining to sleep surgery - both negative and positive studies - and I will give my opinion of the studies.
